I'm Visiting All States in the US

I haven't been to the US, but as far as I know country is huge geographically. I got most of US impressions through those Hollywood movies. Movies show various setting and landscape: casino in Las Vegas, cowboys in Texas, New Yorker's apartment, or wildlife of Florida. But that's it, only a handful scenery portrayed.

The problem with outsiders like me is that I often see or read US related references from memes and twitter without knowing the context, like this one below. Hmmm, what's that with Mississippi? Is it so 'third world' that people assume Mississippian can't get into Super Bowl?

It looks to me that the US has so many kinds of life. So here's me, out of my curiosity, visiting all states in the US from my desk. I will randomly put the street view pointer and post whatever I saw. Two pics from each state (will be so many bias here, don't take this seriously, I would think Jakarta is heaven if accidentally drop the pins on SCBD and Pondok Indah). States are sorted alphabetically, let's see what we got.

1. Alabama

In southern region of the US, mostly rural area, lots of greens on the map so I guess they got woods there.

2. Alaska

Not in the mainland and so north, I don't think its easy to live there, I just checked whole Alaska has similar population with Gunungkidul.

3. Arizona

NBA franchise Phoenix 'Suns' makes home there because it's incredibly hot.

4. Arkansas

At a glace looks like a nice place to live, neat and green. Unfortunately, I heard they have low internet penetration.

5. California

San Fransisco, you know? Los Angeles? All the modernity.

6. Colorado

Landscape wise, they are half desert half green.

7. Connecticut

Typical New England region: small area, rich people. Family movie vibes.

8. Delaware

Seen some YouTube videos about shady bureaucracy and tax haven in this state. My pins both landed in luxurious neighborhood. I don't know if it's related.

9. Florida

"Florida man fought 7-ft long alligator"

10. Georgia

They hosted Olympics in 1996, cities look decent.

11. Hawaii

Would you mind to live in the middle of Pacific Ocean?

12. Idaho

Adventurous state, so many mountains, and wildfires..

13. Illinois

State of Fox River Penitentiary for you Michael Scofield fans

14. Indiana

Does it have something to do with Indiana Jones?

15. Iowa

Ruler straight on north and south, more natural border on east and west where Missouri and Mississippi flow.

16. Kansas

Like Colorado: half green half brown. Pict not sponsored by retail store company.

17. Kentucky

KFC, what else?

18. Lousiana

Its coastline and rivers remind me of North Jakarta, don't know about the flood

19. Maine

I reckon you can cross the border to Canada through Maine

20. Maryland

It looks like a colorful city..

21. Massachusetts

Massachusetts Institute of Technology! Boston Marathon! Place of anythings great!

22. Michigan

Surrounded by Lake Michigan, who do not like lake?

23. Minnesota

I need to browse to get clues about this state, conclusion: its cold

24. Mississippi

State that gives me idea to write this post, and now I found the answer to the tweet above: Mississippi sits on 50th for median household income unfortunately, sorry.

25. Missouri

Which one is named first, the state or the river?

26. Montana

Montana must have something to do with mountains

27. Nebraska

It looks . . flat

28. Nevada

Casinos and deserts

29. New Hampshire

I'm trying my best to get a description sentence for this state: it has relatively narrow coastline, but it directly faces Atlantic Ocean.

30. New Jersey

That guy from Half as Interesting channel always make fun of Newark International Airport in NJ, I don't know why.

31. New Mexico

I thought it was in Mexico

32. New York

New York that's it. That's the tweet.

33. North Carolina

Honestly my first thought: the state's name is so human.

34. North Dakota

I catch native American vibes here.

35. Ohio

From the street view it looks like average American cities, I don't know why so many roads are wide but empty.

36. Oklahoma

Another city in the middle of the US, mixed landscape.

37. Oregon

West coast state facing the Pacific, the green parts looks comfy to visit

38. Pennsylvania

Hey Arnold vibes + workshops + roads in the woods.

39. Rhode Island

Actually most parts of it are still in the mainland.

40. South Carolina

Sibling of North Carolina

41. South Dakota

Earth is flat.

42. Tennessee

I don't know. Pass.

43. Texas

Is there real cowboy there?

44. Utah

In 2000s Nintendo games, Utah = snowy hills.

45. Vermont

I'm digging, but can't see any familiar city in Vermont..

46. Virginia

Seen from above, this is the weirdest-shaped state I think.

47. Washington

Seattle, home of Boeing and advance tech, dreams. BTW, Washington State is not equal to Washington DC.

48. West Virginia

Those greens for Taman Nasional vibes

49. Wisconsin

Another state facing Lake Michigan with Milwaukee as its main city, beautiful scenery.

50. Wyoming

Last state alphabetically, perfect rectangular border!

Here you are pics of all states in the US plus my not-so-important thought about it. Sorry if it is not even funny. I mean, see that jungle, savanna, coast, some of them are so good to see, US is not only California, New York, and big cities.
